I got up early and headed straight to my desk at 6:00 AM, with a packed agenda. Between analyzing local municipal governance, writing community updates, and preparing for the week, it was shaping up to be a busy one.
My first stop was a quick trip into Peterborough for a dentist appointment. After taking care of business there, we had a few hours to kill before heading to the rink. We grabbed dinner in Lakefield and detoured out to the cottage. While kicking back and letting the dental freezing wear off, I grabbed my tools and got to work repairing a stubborn chair out of the garage. Nothing beats roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on work to clear your head! 🛠️
The highlight of the entire day was heading to the Misken Law Community Complex at 8:00 PM to watch my son play his very first hockey game of the season! 🏒⚡ He looked sharp, played hard, and was a total joy to watch. During the game, he managed to snap his stick. While looking at that broken stick, it hit me: solving problems, whether it's fixing equipment in the garage or navigating complex life moments, is all about having the right plan and the right hands-on guidance.
